Meet the Owner
A native to north central Kansas, Sara Larson found florals to be her passion since the age of twelve and has been creating flowers ever since. She learned her craft in the Geary County 4-H floriculture program. Specializing in creating moments with aesthetic impact, she brings a unique and playful touch to each and every project she works on.
After her graduation from Washburn University’s School of Business, she followed life’s path to Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida. There her creativity poured over into the event world. While working for Disney, she brought her creative eye to numerous weddings, EPCOT Flower & Garden shows, Food & Wine Festival, and many other high profile events for diplomats and well known persons. During this time, Sara also produced and directed several movie premieres and private celebrity events in Florida, California and New York.
After gaining many years of experience in design, marketing and events, Sara moved to the Kansas City area. She lent her expertise to one of the largest distilleries in the world to assist in creating their consumer alcohol brands of vodka, bourbon, rye, whiskey, and gins. Focusing on experiential and consumer engagement, her team participated in various events such as Food Network’s Aspen Food & Wine festival, The Bourbon Classic in Louisville, Kentucky, Women in Bourbon in Chicago, a virtual consumer engagement series, and many spirits festivals.
While following her professional career path, she kept her finger on the pulse of the wedding planning and floral scene. Sara has designed countless wedding florals and is the go-to for family and friends with any wedding and event questions.
After moving out to her husbands ranch in north central Kansas and becoming a mother, Sara pursued her dream to to start her own company, Wild & Blooming, LLC with a floral studio located on the family’s ranch and in downtown Manhattan, KS.
Sara holds the following certifications: American School of Floral Design – Wedding Floral Program, Floral Certificate from Johnson County Community College, Court of Master Sommeliers Level II Sommelier, Certified Scotch Professional, Certified Spirits Specialist, Executive Bourbon Steward, and Certified Event Planner.
